Foundry Coatings
Various water based and solvent based grades are available. There are Aluminium Silicate based refractory coatings having low reactivity to metal oxide offered in slurry & ready to use form, gas permeable coating having low reactivity to metal oxide offered in slurry form etc. They are recommended for G.I. / S.G. Iron castings. Suitable for Silicate - CO2 systems and other organic binder systems like cold box/hot box/shell/oil sand etc. They can be used by dipping, spraying, brushing or swabbing; also suitable for over pouring method.
Advantages:
- Incorporation of high quality Aluminium Silicate having high thermal resistance & permeability ensure smooth casting finish & free from casting defects
- Excellent suspension properties help to get uniform coverage consistently
- Blend of high quality refractories and good finish ensures good casting peel and saves on fettling costs
Various water based and solvent based grades are available. They are graphite coatings in paste form and are recommended for all types of light to heavy section of GI and SG iron castings. They are suitable for mold / cores made out of Silicate-CO2 system and other organic systems like Oil Sand, Shell, Cold Box, Hot Box sand systems etc. They can be applied by brushing or spraying.
Advantages:
- Better suspension properties ensure uniform coverage of refractory fillers
- High refractoriness of the coating prevents sand burn on and penetration and in turn reduces fettling cost
Various water based and solvent based grades are available. They are superior graphite coatings in ready to use form and are recommended for all types of GI and SG Iron castings, all types of light to heavy section Iron castings, manufacturing of Ingot moulds etc. They are also suitable for Silicate-CO2, Green sand & other organic binder systems based on their grade. They can be applied by dipping / spraying, bushing, swabbing etc.
Advantages:
- Good suspension characteristics help to get uniform coverage of the coating on mold / cores
- Blend of high quality graphite ensures good casting peel and reduces fettling cost

Advantages:
- Superior suspension characteristics incorporated helps uniform coating application
- High refractoriness of the coating ensures better casting surface finish
Various water based and solvent based grades are available. They are high refractory, high heat resistant coatings; and are suitable for all types of light to heavy G.I. / S.G. Iron & steel casting applications. They are suitable for Silicate-CO2, Green Sand & all organic binder systems based on the grade. They can be applied by brushing, spraying, flood coating or over pouring. Special grades are available for flow coating or over pour applications.
Advantages:
- Good suspension properties ensure uniform coverage of the coating
- High refractory of the coating gives better surface finish & reduce fettling cost
- Super fine quality of Zircon incorporated and very good suspension characteristics of coating covers the pores between the sand grains and assists in smooth casting peel
- High solid content minimizes sand burn-on, penetration in case of castings which are poured under severe conditions
Various water based and solvent based grades are available. These mixed refractory coatings are available in both paste and ready for use forms. They are recommended for all types of heavy GI/SG Iron castings and steel castings. These high refractory, high heat resistance coatings are suitable for Silicate-CO2, Green Sand & all organic binder systems. They can be applied by brushing, dipping, spraying, flood coating and over pour applications based on the grade.
Advantages:
- High refractoriness of the coating gives better surface finish & reduce fettling cost
- Blend of high quality refractories ensures good casting peel
- Gives a complete and uniform coverage of the cores with fillers. This in turn ensures a good casting finish free from fusion and penetration and hence lowers the casting cleaning costs
